Restrictions

  • ✕No resale, sublicensing, or redistribution of raw files.
  • ✕No use in commercial branding, client work, or advertising.
  • ✕No use on Print-on-Demand (POD) products for sale.

Commercial License

For businesses, client projects, and marketing

Permitted Uses

  • ✓Commercial marketing, advertising banners, and promotional campaigns.
  • ✓Client design projects and internal corporate presentations.
  • ✓Digital media: websites, YouTube/video backgrounds, digital publications (up to 500,000 impressions).
  • ✓Physical end products for sale: up to 5,000 units/prints.
  • ✓Commercial office decor and retail interior displays.

Restrictions

  • ✕No standalone resale or re-distribution of the digital map files.
  • ✕No automated Print-on-Demand (POD) platforms where customers buy the artwork directly.
  • ✕No claiming original authorship or registering the artwork as a trademark.

Restrictions

  • ✕No reselling the raw vector or raster files as competing digital stock downloads or map builder services.

Creative Cartography vs. Underlying Map Data

Mapsty products combine two distinct layers:

  1. Artistic Styling & Creative Layout: The unique aesthetic treatments, proprietary color palettes, vector typography, visual framing, and render compositions are copyright © Level UP / Mapsty. These elements are licensed to you under the terms chosen above (Personal, Commercial, or Extended Commercial).
  2. Geographic Data & OpenStreetMap: Geographic geometries, road networks, waterways, and building footprints are derived from OpenStreetMap data, licensed under the Open Database License 1.0 (ODbL) by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF).

Your license grants you rights to our creative and artistic styling. Any extraction or use of the underlying raw OpenStreetMap database components remains subject to the ODbL. For full details on OpenStreetMap attribution and open data compliance, please review our dedicated data policy.
